AHY Doesn't Want To Make Up About The Prabowo-Gibran Cabinet Ministerial Post

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said his party did not want to make assumptions regarding the ministry post that his cadres would fill in the upcoming government cabinet.

AHY admitted that he did not know which posts would be filled by Democratic Party cadres in the Prabowo-Gibran government cabinet.

"So, we frankly don't or don't know, at least we don't know for sure. We also don't want to make assumptions or guesses," AHY said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 10.

AHY also admitted that he did not know the news that his party received five ministerial seats and he would be appointed as coordinating minister (Menko) in the upcoming government cabinet.

"I don't know yet, we're just waiting," he said.

AHY again asked the public to wait for Prabowo Subianto after the inauguration as President for the 2024-2028 period. Prabowoyang will announce the composition of his cabinet himself because the time for the inauguration of the elected president and vice president is only a short time away, October 20, 2024.

"We'll just have to wait for the time to come soon, we'll just have to wait and see what his (Prabowo) decision will be," he said.

However, he did not deny that he had communicated with Prabowo regarding the preparation of the cabinet.

"Oh yes, of course communication is carried out well," he said.

Previously, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani revealed that a number of candidates for ministerial candidates in the upcoming government cabinet had been summoned by Prabowo Subianto.

"People and nomenclature have started to be compiled, and some have even started to be called," said Muzani.

Muzani said that a number of ministers in the cabinet of President Joko Widodo's government were again elected to fill the ministerial post in the upcoming Prabowo-Gibran cabinet.
