Honda Launches Two New Electric Motors ICON E: And Honda CUV E: Take A Peek At The Full Specification

JAKARTA - PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has officially added its electric motor lineup in Indonesia, by launching two models at once, even the first in the country. The two models are Honda ICON e: and Honda CUV e: both are designed to meet various user needs, from those who want agility to durability and resilience of electric motorcycle products.

So what are the full specifications?

Honda ICON e:

Honda ICON e: is claimed to be present for consumers who are looking for flexibility in riding electric motorcycles by offering light body and thinness on the highway. This electric motor Honda ICON e: carries the concept of "Advance Compact" which is suitable for daily use.

Armed with advanced, clean, and smart designs, Honda ICON e: attracting attention with a 12-inch tire alloy up front and 10 inches behind. The dimension of the compact stratified with a flat footrest on an electric motorcycle provides comfort and flexibility for driving.

There is a large trunk with a capacity of up to 26 liters which adds value from the functionality side. Honda ICON e: carrying an electric motor with a maximum power of 1.8 KW capable of traveling up to 55 km/hour. The battery embedded in the bottom deck of the motorbike is able to survive and carry the vehicle to cover a maximum distance of 53 km with a single charge.

The direct charge battery charging system, directly to the motorcycle or to the battery, provides high flexibility and charging is easier anywhere. Charging the battery from empty to full takes 7 hours 20 minutes, and from 25 percent to 75 percent it takes 3 hours 30 minutes.

This motorbike is also equipped with riding mode, namely Econ to make it more battery efficient and STD for the normal driving experience. Other supporting equipment embedded in Honda ICON e: including USB chargers on console boxes, full digital meters panels, and all lights using LED technology.

AHM provides Honda ICON e: with five color choices, namely Iconic Mint, Iconic Orange, Iconic Red, Iconic White, and Iconic Matte Black. Honda ICON e: will be marketed at a price range of IDR 28-32 million on the road DKI Jakarta including a charger.

Meanwhile, for Honda CUV e:, there are motorists who want to experience electric motorcycles that support high-performance productivity and cutting-edge technology. Carrying the concept of Premium-Futuristic', this electric motorcycle offers a proud driving experience with unquestionable quality, as well as guaranteed security typical of Honda.

Regarding the design, this one motor carries a premium style with a sharp angle in several parts, and is also combined with a 12-inch rim. This model is even more special with the tightening of the Honda RoadSync Duo, a system of connectivity with the phone at the highest type which further provides convenience, comfort, and calm when driving with high mobility. Honda CUV e: powered by an electric motor with a maximum power of 6 KW, which can carry it up to a speed of 83 km/hour with a maximum distance of 80.7 km. The power source comes from two Honda Mobile Power Pack e batteries: which can be swabbed (exchanged) or self-charged with an off-board charger.

Charging the battery from empty to full takes six hours, and 2.7 hours (160 minutes) for charging from 25 percent to 75 percent. There are three driving modes, namely ECON, STD, and Sport, that can be selected to adjust the needs and conditions. The embedded support equipment is a USB type-C charger located on a console box for charging the phone battery. The TFT panel screen can display vehicle information, navigation, music controllers, to receive and make calls. Honda's typical system smart key is installed to maximize the security features.

AHM provides three color choices for Honda CUV e:, namely Stellar Matte White, Stellar Matte Silver, and Stellar Matte Black. Then for Honda CUV e: RoadSync Duo, the Quantum Matte White, Quantum Matte Silver, and Quantum Matte Black color options are offered. Honda CUV e: will be marketed at a price range of Rp 53-57 million (unit Rp33-37 million + two units of MPP battery e: for Rp 10 million / battery unit).
