KPK Routinely Rotates Rutan Officers To Prevent Repeated Extortion

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) closed the gap for irregularities at the KPK and C1 Red and White House State Detention Centers. One of them routinely rotates the officers.

"These steps are part of the KPK's commitment to ensure that prison governance runs well, transparently, and is free from corrupt practices," said KPK General Bureau Head Tomi Murtomo in a written statement quoted on Thursday, October 10.

In addition, officers are also required to sign an integrity pact. One of the points, said Tomi, is to report forms of violations and irregularities in the field.

"KPK promises to continue to make efforts to improve prison governance, including strengthening supervision, dialogue with visitors and detainees, as well as imposing strict sanctions on violations found," he said.

"This intensive supervision is expected to be able to create a better prison environment with integrity," continued Tomi.

Previously reported, the KPK processed 15 of its employees related to the alleged extortion at the KPK detention center. They are currently undergoing trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court.

Those who sit as defendants are Hengki as ASN / Coordinator of Security and Order (Kamtib) of the KPK Detention Center for the period 2018-2022; Head of the 2022-present KPK Detention Center Achmad Fauzi; Hired Civil Servant (PNYD) assigned as Security Officer on behalf of Deden Rochendi, Sopian Hadi, Ristanta (also served as Acting. KPK Karutan in 2021).

Then the PNYD who was assigned as the KPK Detention Center Branch Officer on behalf of Ari Rahman Hakim, Agung Nugroho, Eri Angga Permana, Muhammad Ridwan.

Furthermore, KPK Detention Center Branch Officers on behalf of Suherlan, Ramadhan Ubaidillah A, Mahdi Aris, Wardoyo, Muhammad Abduh, and Ricky Rachmawanto were also tried. In the 2019-2023 period, Hengki et al are said to have received Rp6.3 billion in cash.
