Mees Hilgers Directly Targets Three Points If Debut With The INDonesian National Team
JAKARTA - Mees Hilgers has joined the Indonesian national team in preparation for the match against Bahrain at the Bahrain National Stadium, Riffa, on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
The duel is the third match of Group C of the Third Round of Qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Hilgers had a great opportunity to make his debut with the Garuda Squad when dealing with Bahrain.
If his debut is realized, the 23-year-old defender will immediately target three points. If you manage to get the points on the bench, it will be the first time for the Indonesian national team in the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

"I see my parents proud, even more than proud. They are very enthusiastic to see us compete on Thursday against Bahrain," Hilgers said.
"This is my first day with the Indonesian national team. Earlier we had a light exercise."

Mees Hilgers and Eliano Reijnders are new Indonesian national team players. Both have just completed the naturalization and transfer of federations from KNVB (Netherlands) to PSSI (Indonesia) at the end of September 2024.
Despite being born in the Netherlands, Hilgers had Indonesian blood from his mother who came from North Sulawesi.
