Becoming A KPK Suspect, South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor Alias Uncle Birin Has Assets Of IDR 24.8 Billion

JAKARTA - South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor alias Uncle Birin who is a suspect in bribery and gratification cases has assets of IDR 24,896,076,273. This amount is recorded in the state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN) which he submitted in February 2024 for the 2023 period.

In his report, Uncle Birin recorded ownership of assets in the form of land and buildings worth Rp. 13,714,700,000. The locations are in Banjar City, Barito Kuala, Banjarmasin, Tanah Bumbu and Banjarbaru.

He also recorded ownership of motor vehicle assets estimated at Rp733 million. The details are the 2014 Mazda Biante Minibus Rp175 million; 2012 Honda CRV Minibus Rp160 million; 2012 Ford Pickup Rp160 million; Honda Revo in 2017 Rp8 million; and 2016 Honda HR-V Rp230 million.

All of these assets, called Uncle Birin, were obtained from their own results, based on the report submitted. Sahbirin then conveyed ownership of other movable assets worth IDR 2,324,514,900 and cash equivalents of IDR 8,123,861,373.

The uncle of Haji Isam, who is a coal mining entrepreneur, has no debt. Thus, there is no reduction in the value of his wealth.

The amount of wealth in 2023 increased from the previous year. In the previous report, he recorded assets of Rp24,025,394,506, an increase of Rp870,681,767.

Previously reported, the KPK named a total of seven people as suspects in the case of alleged receipt of gifts or promises by state officials or representing them in South Kalimantan Province in 2024-2025. This determination began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Sunday, October 6.

South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin has been named a suspect in receiving bribes along with four other people. They are the Head of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Ahmad Solhan (SOL), the Head of Cipta Karya as well as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Yulianti Erlynah (YUL), the Management of the Tahfidz Darussalam House as well as the collector of money or fee Ahmad (AMD) and Plt. Head of the Household of the Governor of South Kalimantan Agustya Febry Andrean (FEB).

Meanwhile, as the givers were Sugeng Wahyudi (YUD) and Andi Susanto (AND) as private parties. Thus, there are a total of seven suspects.

Uncle Birin has yet to be detained. Meanwhile, the six suspects have officially an orange dream and are placed in the KPK detention center.
