Previously In October, Jokowi Instructed ASN To Move To IKN January 2025

JAKARTA - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas revealed that Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) ordered the state civil apparatus (ASN) to move to the State Capital (IKN) in January 2025.

"Last night I received an order from the President through Mr. Pratikno that I received an order in January that ASN moved to IKN," Anas said in his statement, Tuesday, October 8.

For information, the transfer of ASN to IKN is planned for September 2024. However, until early October no ASN transfer has been carried out to IKN.

"Earlier, September to October, the president's directive was not about what the Minister of PUPR, who was also the Head of OIKN, said that it had been completed. However, the ecosystem was asked to be resolved," he said.

For this reason, Anas said that his party would immediately prepare a scheme for the departure of ASN to IKN to the incentives.

"We want to finish this, but the task continues at the end, this means that Mr. Aba will be working overtime again tonight. Last night we also had overtime with all of our friends," explained Anas.

Previously, the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas) Suharso Monoarfa said that the transfer of state civil servants (ASN) to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) had been delayed from the schedule.

"Yes, it's actually too late, if according to the schedule, the preparation in the master schedule for the transfer of our ASN is a bit late," said Suharso last week.

To catch up with the delay, he said, a re-scheduling scenario for the transfer of ASN to IKN will be carried out starting this month or next month, November 2024.

"To catch up with the delay, whether it starts this month or next month," he said.

Even so, Suharso emphasized that the priority currently being carried out by the IKN Authority is to ensure that all facilities for ASN are met, such as hospitals, schools, and other facilities.

"The most important thing that must be ensured is that all facilities for ASN are moved there, including their support, for example regarding how they get sick. That's all first. For example, school and so on may not be there yet. If the children may still not be there," he concluded.
