Shin Tae-yong Ensures That The Indonesian National Team Is Not Constrained By The Weather In Bahrain

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, ensured that his team was ready to face Bahrain. He said that the weather at the opponent's headquarters did not become a significant obstacle.

Ahead of the match which was held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, Shin Tae-yong felt that the weather was not an obstacle. However, the coach actually highlighted the question of the Garuda Squad jetlag because they had just arrived on Monday, October 7, 2024.

"The weather will not be a problem because it's 6 o'clock (local time afternoon). We just practice at 6 o'clock cool, especially when the match will take place at 7 pm," said Shin Tae-yong in a PSSI release quoted on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

"Indeed, the weather is not a problem for adaptation, but the most important thing is jetlag," said the coach.

Arriving in Bahrain, the Indonesian national team had undergone their first training. The team's training sessions also went smoothly coupled with several abroad players who had joined, such as Thom Haye, Ivar Jenner, Sandy Walsh, to Marselino Ferdinand.

On the same occasion after training, Thom Haye emphasized that the condition of the Indonesian national team was fine for the third match of Group C of the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.

"Good, good. The situation here is very good. Glad to be here," said Thom Haye.
