Explore Punti Kayu, Nature Tourism Park In Palembang Filled With Pinus

JAKARTA - Visiting South Sumatra, especially Palembang, then there is nothing wrong if you go to Punti Kayu Nature Tourism Park. This is a natural tourist destination that presents the beauty of pine trees.

Citing the Indonesia Travel page, Punti Kayu Nature Tourism Park is about 7 km from the center of Palembang City. This park covers a green plant of 50 hectares.

At first this park was built for conservation purposes and designated as a protected forest in 1938. However, Punti Kayu has finally opened to the public as a recreational forest since 1986.

The Punti Kayu Nature Tourism Park has pine trees that grow side by side with other tropical trees. Most of the trees and other plants in this park have existed since the Dutch rule in Indonesia.

Punti Kayu Nature Tourism Park consists of four tourist areas, namely Conservation Forests, Recreational Parks, Lakes and Rawa, as well as Campgrounds. Punti Kayu entrance tickets range from Rp. 5,000 with additional parking fees and open from 09.00 to 16.00 WIB.

While in Punti Kayu, you will be greeted with fresh air to enjoy. The opening of this park to the general public is also intended as a tourist destination to relieve fatigue after a day of work or maybe escaping in the hustle and bustle of the city.

In Punti Kayu you can walk along the footpath in pine forests, sitting on the edge of the lake while looking at the reflection of sunlight, to water tourism.

For those who like animals, Punti Kayu also has a small zoo and a crocodile farm. Another activity that can be done is riding an elephant and riding a horse.
