JAKARTA - Singer Madonna shared the sad news from her family. The younger brother, Christopher Gerard Ciccine or Chris died of cancer on October 4.

Chris died at the age of 63 and left his father, as well as six siblings. Chris' death came shortly after their stepmother, Joan Ciccine, died last September.

Chris is the creative director for several works by Madonna. He had studied in Michigan before moving to New York for Madonna which began to develop in her career.

He helped Madonna as a background dancer in several music videos, including Everybody and Lucky Star. He also designed the creative side of several Madonna concert tours.

Through her Instagram account, Madonna wrote a message for her sister. He said they had gone through a period when they didn't talk to each other.

Christopher's sister is gone. He was the closest human to me for a long time. It's hard to explain our bond but it grew into something that made us different and the environment gave us a difficult time," Madonna wrote.

We went to the cemetery and cried, and we danced. We danced together on stage at the beginning of his career and he became creative director for a lot of tours. When it comes to good taste, my sister is her 'Pope'," he continued.

"The past few years have not been easy, we didn't talk to each other but when my sister was sick, we found each other. I tried to keep it as much as possible but he felt pain until the end," Madonna said.

He closed his message by saying that his sister was dancing and he was happy that his sister did not feel pain as before.

"I'm relieved he wasn't sick. There wasn't anyone like him, I knew he was dancing there," Madonna concluded.

The sad news was also felt by Hollywood public figures who had sent messages to Madonna.

"I know the feeling. I feel it too often. I'm sorry. May your sister rest in peace," wrote La Toya Jackson.
