Unable To Be Affected By Recalls, BYD Continues To Initiate An Investigation Of Its Electric Cars In Indonesia

PT BYD Motor Indonesia ensures that no units are affected by the recall for Dolphin and Atto 3 units for the country market, and are only affected by the local Chinese market.

This was revealed by PT BYD Motor Indonesia's Head Of Marketing & Communication Luther Panjaitan. He said the information circulating about the recalls of parts of Atto 3 and Dolphin is correct, but this initiative is only for the domestic Chinese market and only for a few batches of certain units produced specifically for the Chinese market.

"It's only in China and it's also just a certain production period," he said, when contacted some time ago.

Although no unit was affected by the Indonesian market even though it was still imported intact from China, BYD Indonesia carried out investigative initiatives to ensure that its electric car remained safe.

"Yes, we are now very open to the conditions of improvement that occur in the field. The aftersales team went down directly to check, assisted by the community, if there is a problem, correction activities will be carried out," said Luther when met in the Bekasi area, Monday, October 7.

Furthermore, the man who is familiarly called Luther said the initiation was a commitment effort from the Quality Control BYD section which continues to carry out its function of monitoring product quality even though the car has been sold and is in the hands of consumers.

"The point is that BYD is a research and technology company, security and comfort are always the top priorities. If the results of the investigation require development or improvement, it is a form of responsibility that must be done," he explained.
