Aiming For Potential 15 BBTUD In Sulawesi, PGN Signs 2 MoU For Natural Gas Utilization
JAKARTA - PT PGN Tbk is targeting the potential for natural gas development for the industrial sector of 15 BBTUD in the Sulawesi region. Therefore, as part of efforts to achieve this potential, PGN signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) regarding the potential development of natural gas utilization in South Sulawesi.
PGN Commercial Director Ratih Esti Prihatini said PGN signed the MoU with KSO Indogawa and Siantar Tara Sejati to fulfill natural gas for power plants in South Sulawesi.
"The potential supply of natural gas for this need is 5 BBTUD," he said, Monday, October 7.
Furthermore, PGN signed an MoU with the Pattene Industrial Estate. The Pattene Industrial Estate which has an area of approximately 1,000 ha and around 50 industrial tenants, so this collaboration becomes a strategic location to expand PGN's market penetration. In the future, he ensures that the number of tenants in the industrial area will increase so that the potential for natural gas absorption will also increase.

Esti emphasized that PGN is committed to maintaining the availability of natural gas supply so that it can be utilized optimally. As a national natural gas aggregator, PGN provides pipeline, LNG and CNG gas services so that the form of natural gas distribution can be carried out as needed.
This cooperation is worth more, PGN is currently developing a market in Sulawesi. In addition, PGN wants the use of natural gas in the clean energy mix to be more especially in the Central and East Indonesia regions. Through this commitment, PGN hopes to contribute to reducing carbon emissions during the energy transition," concluded Ratih.
