Chairman Of The DPRD Regarding OTT KPK In South Kalimantan: Becomes OPD Learning In Province

JAKARTA - The South Kalimantan DPRD (Kalsel) said that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) hand arrest operation (OTT) in South Kalimantan could be a lesson for officials of regional apparatus organizations (OPD).

"To OPDs in this province, it must be a lesson and don't let it happen again, it's enough to just cut off the common thread, nothing else," said South Kalimantan DPRD Chairman Supian HK after the plenary meeting of the South Kalimantan DPRD, in Banjarmasin, Monday 7 October, confiscated by Antara.

Supian expressed concern about the OTT incident and he hoped that the investigation of this case would not spread to other OPDs.

"I support the performance of the KPK in conducting this OTT because we have carried out prevention and supervision several times according to the function of the DPRD," said Supian.

According to him, the KPK OTT must have something to do with political supervision because every election implementation must be monitored, especially if there are candidates from incumbents.

Previously, the KPK investigating team conducted an OTT against state administrators within the South Kalimantan Provincial Government on the evening of Sunday, October 6.

Information on the activities of KPK investigators was confirmed by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron.

"It's true, the KPK is making active arrests," said Ghufron when confirmed in Jakarta, Sunday, October 6 evening.

However, Ghufron has not explained further about the identity of the state administrators who were caught in the operation, including the details of the case.

Since the examination on Sunday night, KPK investigators are still examining a number of witnesses at the Banjarbaru Police Station until now.

The Banjarbaru Police, the ranks of the South Kalimantan Police, confirmed that KPK investigators used a room for examination.

"There is a Banjarbaru Police room used by the KPK for examination purposes," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banjarbaru Police, AKP Haris Wicaksono, to reporters at the Banjarbaru Police Headquarters, Monday morning.

Haris did not explain in detail the need for examination by the KPK investigators.

Based on observations, two vehicles from the South Kalimantan Provincial Government were at the Banjarbaru Police Station after the KPK OTT.
