Hezbollah Rocket Attack Injures 5 Residents Of Haifa North Israel

JAKARTA - It was reported that five people were injured in Haifa on Sunday after the Hezbollah rocket attack that marked the first time militant groups had attacked a city in northern Israel.

Hezbollah said it launched rockets at Israel's Carmel military base. Meanwhile, Israeli authorities reported rockets and shrapnel fell around the city.

Reported by CNN, Monday, October 7, Rambam Hospital in Haifa said it was treating six people affected by the attack. One person was slightly to moderately injured and four others were lightly injured by shrapnel.

Magen emergency service David Adom Israel said it treated two people at the scene of a 13-year-old boy with head injuries from shrapnel and a 22-year-old man who was hit by a window that fell from the explosion.

Debris and shrapnel were reported by police and bomb disposal experts in the two main areas, according to police.

Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) previously said they saw five projectiles fired at the city and tried to intercept it, but several rockets landed.

Israeli officials said Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets across the border on Sunday, October 6.

Israel continues massive bombings in southern Beirut and its surrounding Lebanon, which have killed more than 1,400 people over the past two weeks, according to Lebanese authorities.
