Probolinggo-Besuki Toll Road Construction Progress Phase 1 Capai 55.27 Percent, Rampung When?

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, through its subsidiary PT Jasamarga Probolinggo Banyuwangi (PT JPB) which manages the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road, noted that the progress of the construction phase I construction has reached 55.27 percent as of September 30, 2024.

Phase I development includes Probolinggo to Besuki which is divided into 3 Construction Work Packages, namely Package 1 (Gending-Kraksaan), Package 2 (Kraksaan-Paiton) to Package 3 (Paiton-Besuki).

Based on PT JPB records, the progress of land acquisition for the construction needs of the toll road has reached 97.87 percent as of September 2024. Where in accordance with Permenko Perekonomian No. 9 of 2022, land acquisition and construction of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road are focused on the Probolinggo-Besuki section.

"Overall, the 175.78 Km Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road is divided into two Development Stages. Phase I connects Probolinggo-Besuki with 49.68 Km, and Phase II connecting Besuki-Banyuwangi along 126.10 Km," said PT Jasamarga President Director Probolinggo Banyuwangi Adi Prasetyanto, Sunday, October 6.

Adi said that the construction of phase I will have three Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Kraksaan, GT Paiton, and GT Besuki and three intersections, namely Simpang Susun (SS) Kraksaan, SS Paiton and SS Besuki.

"If land acquisition is in accordance with the target, then construction work for the Gending-Kraksaan segment is targeted to be completed in November 2024, and for the Kraksaan-Besuki Segment it is targeted for completion by 2025," he said.

In building this toll road, he continued, PT JPB together with implementing contractors as well as supervisory consultants and quality control consultants are committed to ensuring the safety of construction engineering, occupational safety, public safety and environmental safety.

"PT JPB also maintains the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) in this project, as much as possible using local resources in work, including the provision of manpower, equipment and domestic materials," said Adi.

Overall, the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road is divided into seven sections, namely Section 1 Gending-Kraksaan (12.88 Km), Section 2 Kraksaan-Paiton (11.20 Km), Section 3 Paiton-Besuki (25.60 Km), Section 4 Besuki-Situbondo (42.30 Km), Section 5 Situbondo-Asembagus (16.76 Km), Section 6 Asembagus-Bajulmati (37.45 Km), and Section 7 Bajulmati-Ketapang (29.59 Km).

For your information, the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) managed by PT JPB as the Toll Road Business Entity whose share ownership is owned by PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk at 96.33 percent, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) at 3.65 percent, and PT Waskita Toll Road at 0.02 percent.
