Apple Will Build Four Retail Stores In India, Here's Why!
JAKARTA - The tech giant Apple is rumored to have plans to open four new retail stores in India, after opening two of its stores in Mumbai and New Delhi last year.
In a statement received by TechCrunch, Deirdre O'Brien, senior vice president of Retail Apple said they plan to open their new stores in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.
"We are very happy to be able to build our team because we plan to open more stores in India, because we are inspired by the creativity and enthusiasm of our customers across the country," said Deirdre O'Brien, senior vice president of retail Apple.
However, the United States (US) tech giant did not provide a specific schedule for the opening of the new store in India.
Along with the plan, Apple also confirmed that they had started producing the entire iPhone 16 lineup, including the Pro model, in India.

The company started producing iPhones in the country in 2017, starting with the SE model. This is done to take advantage of India's growing smartphone market.
On the other hand, Apple CEO Tim Cook has sold more than 220,000 Apple shares worth more than 50 million US dollars (Rp774.9 billion).
According to documents submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Cook sold 223,986 shares with a total value of 50,276,076 US dollars.
