Suzuki Talks About The Continuation Of Avenis Motor Recalls In Indonesia, 25 Percent Has Been Handled
JAKARTA PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) last August announced the recall of 108 units of Suzuki Avenis motorcycles in Indonesia. This affected model is produced between April 30 and December 3, 2022.
Based on the results of the Suzuki investigation, the recall was carried out to examine and, if necessary, replace the protective component of the high-tensored cable on the series of ignite coils. This follows the discovery of potential long-term material degradation that could affect the electrical system in several units.
Nevertheless, PT SIS ensures that with the replacement of Ignition Coil Assy, the vehicle will still function safely. The recall process is already underway, and Suzuki continues to work on it.
What will the continuation of the Suzuki Avenis recall in Indonesia look like?
"We have handled 25 percent of the total affected units," said Victor Assani, 2W and OBM Service Head of PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor, when met in Jakarta, Thursday, October 3.
Victor also emphasized that the affected owner of the Suzuki Avenis had nothing to worry about. To date, of the 25 percent of the units that have been examined, most of them only require checking without any serious problems.
"Only one or two units need to be replaced with components," he added.

"As a global product, we have coordinated with principals to ensure the quality of the components is maintained. Suzuki's official workshop is ready to check and handle it as soon as possible," he said last August.
