10 Years Of Jokowi, Palace: President Apologizes In Various Areas Of Evidence Of Reflection And Transparency
JAKARTA - The Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, assessed that the series of apologies submitted by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on various occasions are proof of the president's seriousness in reflecting on the policies that have been implemented during his leadership.
Several moments when President Jokowi apologized, among others, when he visited Soponyono Market in Surabaya, Delimas Raya Market in Deli Serdang Regency, Mawar Market in Pontianak, as well as Bulog's warehouse in Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. Most recently, the President apologized at the LIPA Kalabahi Market, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, last Thursday.
"The apology he conveyed on various occasions shows his seriousness in reviewing the policies that have been taken," Yusuf said in a short message received in Jakarta, quoted Friday, October 4.
This statement is related to President Jokowi's habit of always taking the time to apologize to the public on several working visits. On many occasions, Jokowi conveyed the apology during a visit to the people's markets to monitor the prices of basic commodities.

Yusuf emphasized that President Jokowi had shown humility and courage in apologizing directly, acknowledging imperfections as human beings and as heads of state. According to him, this action reflects the President's integrity, statesmanship, and concern for the responsibilities he carries.
"This is a form of his commitment to the principles of transparency and accountability in his leadership," added Yusuf.
The president's apology also shows a direct and close relationship with the people. This shows Jokowi's empathy.
