Police: Rotting Body Found In Sukabumi Murder Victim

Sukabumi Police managed to reveal the identity of the body of a man who was found by residents in a rotting condition around the retaining wall (TPT) to be precise in Cilengka Village, Pasirbaru Village, Cisolok District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java on Sunday.

"The victim's body found in RT 01/05, Pasirbaru Village, Cisolok District is known as Diki Jaya, 21 years old, a resident of Cipalang Baru Village, Citepus Village, Palabuhanratu District," said Sukabumi Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Ali Jupri quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 4.

According to Ali, his party managed to reveal the identity of the body through scientific testing. It must be admitted initially that it was quite difficult for his party to reveal the identity of the victim because his condition was already decomposed, making it difficult to identify.

To ensure that the body was Diki Jaya, his party then went to his family's house in Cipalang Baru Village and after being shown physical characteristics, the last clothes worn by the young man, the family was finally able to recognize it.

It is possible that the victim died for more than three days, judging from the condition of his body. In addition, his party found that there were irregularities in the victim's body which were suspected of having died unnaturally.

"We have examined a number of witnesses, from family, colleagues to local residents related to this case, there is already a bright spot for the cause of death," he added.

Ali said that his party is still developing the case of the discovery of the body of a young man around the TPT. By collecting evidence, witness statements and other clues.

Meanwhile, the victim's adopted mother, Ani, said that she last met her adopted child on Saturday (21/9) night. Then at around 19.30 WIB, Diki was picked up by two colleagues. However, he admitted that he only recognized one of his two colleagues.

The condition at that time was raining heavily, but his adopted son still forced himself to leave with two of his colleagues. After Diki's departure with two of his colleagues, he did not receive any news, making him worried.

In fact, more than a week, he received news that Diki had died and his body was found around the TPT. At first he did not pay attention and did not believe and remained confident that his adopted son was still alive and playing with his partner.

"I just believed that Diki had died, after the police came to the house a few days ago which showed a photo of the condition of the body and the clothes worn," he said.

On the other hand, Ani added that all this time, Diki was known as a young man who did not do anything and often helped guard his shop. The victim has lived with him for a long time, while his mother has passed away, while his father is still there.
