JAKARTA - Falcon Pictures officially released a poster and trailer for the film Aku Jati, Aku Asperger on Thursday, October 3. Directed by Fajar Bustomi, Aku Jati, Aku Asperger raises an inspiring story about the struggle of a teenager with Asperger syndrome to find his identity in the midst of various social challenges.
The film also collaborates with a row of talented actors and actresses who have stolen public attention, such as Jefri Nichol, Hanggini, Dikta Wicaksono, Carissa Perusset, Livy Renata, Eka Nusa Pertiwi, Keisya Levronka, Ziva Magnolya, Gabriel Prince, Kathrina JKT48, Nopek Novian, Mamat Alkatiri, Willem Bevers, and Vonny Anggraini.
Falcon Pictures producer Frederica stated that this film is not just entertainment, but also brings an important message about understanding individuals with autism spectrum, especially Asperger syndrome which affects mental health. We hope this film can open public insight into how individuals with Asperger can find their place in this world," said Frederica.
Fajar Bustomi also admitted that he had a deep emotional experience when he directed this film. "I feel very honored to be able to direct this film. Through this, I realize that everyone has their own way of struggling, and that difference is precisely what makes us richer as humans. I hope this film can provide a wider understanding of those who may have been neglected or not understood so far," he explained.
Jefri Nichol, who plays Jati, revealed that the character he plays has its own challenges. Bringing Jati's character gave me a new perspective on Asperger's syndrome. I hope the audience can feel the message this film wants to convey," he said.
