Smoke Emerges, Ryanair Airplane Passengers In Brisin In Italy Evacuated

JAKARTA - Passengers on the Ryanair plane were evacuated just before taking off due to the appearance of smoke outside the plane at Brindisi airport, Italy.

Italian media reported 184 passengers were on the plane. Firefighters were called in to deal with the incident.

The FR8826 flight from Brindition to Turin was postponed this morning after cabin crew observed smoke on the outside of the plane, Ryanair said in a statement reported by Reuters on Thursday, October 3.

"Passengers got off without an incident and returned to the terminal by bus," he continued.

Brindisi Airport, in the southeastern region of Puglia, was closed moments after the incident. However, operator Aeroporti in Puglia said the airport had reopened in the morning.

Ryanair said his party plans to use a backup plane to fly passengers to Turin on Thursday night.
