MBZ Toll Corruption Case, AGO Examines Former Director Of Highways
The Attorney General's Office (AGO) continues to investigate the alleged corruption case of alleged corruption in the construction of the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II Toll Road to West Karawang or Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Toll Road.
Most recently, investigators examined two witnesses, one of whom was the former director of the Bina Marga Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
"Examining witness IZ as Director of Bridges at the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for the period 2017 to 2020," said Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar in his statement, Thursday, October 3.
IZ is also known to have served as Deputy Chair of the Road Bridge and Tunnel Security Commission (KKJTJ) for Design and Eligibility of the Japek II Elevated Toll Function for the 2017-2019 period.
Meanwhile, other witnesses, namely BS as a member (KKJTJ) of the Japek II Elevated Toll Road for the 2016-2019 period.
It was not conveyed in detail what the investigators dug up from the two witnesses. It is only stated that their examination was carried out on Wednesday, October 2.

The examination was carried out to further explore the involvement or role of the suspect Dono Parwoto, who is Waskita-Acset's operational cooperation (KSO) power.
"The witness examination was carried out to strengthen the evidence and complete the filing in the case," said Harli.
It is known that apart from Dono Parwoto, the AGO has named four other suspects, namely the President Director (Director) of Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) Djoko Dwijono, the Chairperson of the Auction Committee of PT JJC Yudhi Mahyudin, the Director of Operations of PT Bukaka Teknik Utama Sofiah Balfas, and former Expert Staff of the PT LAPI Ganeshatama Consulting Bridge, Tony Budianto Sihite.
They have undergone a judicial process. Where, the panel of judges sentenced them to 4 years in prison.
