Update On COVID-19 As Of April 2: 5.325 New Cases. 1.523.179 Accumulated Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 52.495 specimens were examined with the results that there were 5.325 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.511.712 people and 122.524 active cases", data quoted from the Ministry of Health, Friday, April 2.
Recovered cases today increased to 5.439 cases so that a total of 1.361.017 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 97 people and the total was 41.151 people.
The province with the newest cases was in DKI Jakarta with 1.240 cases and a total of 384.632 cases. Followed by Banten, which has 850 new cases with a total of 39.514 cases. West Java has 661 new cases and a total of 251.847 cases. Then, South Kalimantan has 283 new cases and a total of 28.427 cases.
Meanwhile, the province with the most cases recovered today is owned by Banten with an increase of 1.510 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1.323 recovered cases, West Java with an increase of 483 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 227 recovered cases.
There is one province that reported no new cases as of today. The province that reported zero new cases is North Maluku.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate was 18.83 percent", he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 63.251 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
Currently, there are 8.418.589 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 3.867.566 vaccines in the second dose. Meanwhile, the total vaccination targets reached 40.349.051 people.
