North Sumatra Asahan Police Arrest Courier 25 Kilograms Of Shabu From Malaysia

The Asahan Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) arrested two suspected couriers of 25 kilograms of methamphetamine from Malaysia.

"Both men with the initials HD (34) and SH (36) are residents of Deli Serdang Regency," said Asahan Police Chief AKBP Afdhal Junaidi as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 2.

Afdhal said the arrests stemmed from information from the public that a drug network movement from Malaysia had docked at the rat port in the Tanjungbalai City area which would be brought to Medan.

Then, personnel carry out reconnaissance in the area.

After that, officers arrested the two suspects by carrying a pickup truck up on Jalan Kebun Kopi Street, Pasar III, Marindal Village, Patumbak District, Deliserdang Regency, on Monday (30/9).

"From the arrest, a search was carried out by finding 25 packs weighing 25 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine," said Afdhal.

From the results of the interrogation of the perpetrators, the evidence came from the initials T who was at the Medan Penitentiary (Lapas) to deliver crystal methamphetamine to Jalan Jermal 15, Percut Seituan District, Deli Serdang.

"Currently, the perpetrators are being detained at the Asahan Police, the case is still being developed by Asahan Police Narcotics Unit personnel," said Afhdal.
