Foreign Minister Katz Appoints UN Secretary General Of Non-Grata Persona Guterres And Prohibited From Entering Israel

JAKARTA - Israeli Foreign Minister, Israel Katz on Wednesday designated UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as a 'non-graft persona' and banned him from entering Israel, because he was deemed indecisive about Iran's missile attacks.

"Anyone who cannot condemn Iran's attacks on Israel is unfit to step on Israeli soil. This is a Secretary-General who hates Israel and has provided support to terrorists. Guterres will be remembered as an eternal stain in the history of the United Nations," he said in a statement. Israeli Foreign Ministry, launched WAFA 2 October.

Iran fired more than 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday amid an escalation of fighting between the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah and Israel.

In response, Secretary General Guterres issued a brief statement referring to the "new attack on the Middle East" and condemned the conflict "with escalation after escalation".

Prior to the Iranian attack, Israel on Tuesday announced its troop deliveries to southern Lebanon.

"Israel will continue to defend its citizens and uphold its national dignity, with or without Antonio Guterres," said Foreign Minister Katz.
