181 Hypersonic Missiles Launched To Israel, President Pezeshkian: Don't Start Conflict With Iran
JAKARTA - President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran used its legitimate rights to carry out attacks on Israeli territory, insisting they would fight any threats and warning never to start a conflict with Iran.
That was conveyed by President Pezeshkian, after the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched hundreds of missiles into Israel on Tuesday night local time.
"Based on legitimate rights and with the aim of peace and security for Iran and the region, a firm response is given to the aggression of the Zionist regime," Pezeshkian wrote on his X account, quoted October 2.
"This action is to defend the interests and citizens of Iran," he added.
Iranian president clarified that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should know that Iran is not a warring country, but Iran stands firm against any threat. "This is only one corner of our power. Do not start conflict with Iran," he stressed.
As previously reported, the IRGC launched about 181 missiles into Israel in response to the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, Secretary General Hezbollah Seyed Hassan Nasrallah and senior IRGC general Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan.
