Rano Karno Admits He Prefers The Debate Of The Gubernatorial Election Without Being Disappointed With Moderator

JAKARTA - The candidate for Deputy Governor of Jakarta number 3 Rano Karno admitted that he preferred the concept of the Jakarta gubernatorial election debate by denying each other without being interrupted or cut by moderators.

This was revealed by Rano when responding to preparations for the inaugural debate of the Jakarta Regional Elections (Pilkada) held by the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) on Sunday, October 6.

"Debat is the most delicious if we are babak-bek. If this (disela moderator), ah, it's not a debate name," said Rano when met at Kedoya, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Tuesday, October 1.

In addition, the cawagub promoted by PDIP and the Hanura Party also highlighted the distribution of debate times for each segment which were limited to a short duration.

"The most language problem is that the duration is short. It's not more than 4 minutes. What to talk about is 4 minutes. So for me as a spectacle, the rhythm will be disturbed," explained Rano.

Rano said that he and Pramono Anung only needed to practice explaining their program according to the duration of the presentation set by the KPU in the debate later.

On the one hand, Rano Karno admitted that he did not have special preparations for the debate. Because, according to the man who is familiarly called Bang Doel, the debate material that will be presented is the presentation of the vision and mission of each candidate in building Jakarta.

"There has been no special preparation. It's normal. Debate means program. It must be our program like this, how will his program be, we'll debate it later. Which one might be feasible. Actually it's just like that," explained Rano.

For Rano, he has held several debate activities for regional head candidates, starting from the election of candidates for the Regent-Deputy Regent of Tangerang, and during the previous Pilkada for the Governor-Vice Governor of Banten.

"For me, this debate starting from 2007 has been debated. This means that in the first election, the deputy governor, deputy governor, governor. So, for me, the debate is normal," said Rano.
