Ever Disputed About The Song Dewa 19, Once No Problem Being Placed By One Commission With Ahmad Dhani

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives, Once Mekel, admitted that there was no problem placing a commission with his former music group mate, Ahmad Dhani.

"Oh, that's okay. It's even fun," said Once as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 1.

Once emphasized that he was ready to be placed anywhere, although he was also waiting for the direction of the commission from the PDI-P faction.

He considers it normal to be related to public distrust of artists who are members of the DPR.

Previously, Ahmad Dhani had issued a ban on Once to perform Dewa 19 songs. Responding to this, Once stated that he did not violate any legal rules regarding the use of Ahmad Dhani's songs in the commercial realm.

After that, Once met Ahmad Dhani at the office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham), on April 18, 2023, and said he would no longer perform Dewa 19 songs and other songs composed by Mulan Jameela's husband.

"I will no longer carry the song Dhani, both alone and with Dewa 19, for an indefinite period of time," said Once.

The decision taken by Once was not in the context of implementing existing legal regulations, but a personal matter between him and Ahmad Dhani.

"I don't think it's in the context of implementing the existing positive law, this is just a personal matter," said Once, who became the vocalist of Dewa in the 19 2000s.
