Tyson Fury Promises To Hit KO Oleksandr Usyk

JAKARTA British heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury promised to make Oleksandr Usyk lose knockout (KO) in their rematch at the end of this year.

The two fighters previously met to win the undisputed world heavyweight title in May 2024 and are scheduled to return to the ring for a rematch on December 21, 2024.

Fury, the former WBC heavyweight champion, who lost through a split decision (split decision) is confident that they will not lose their rematch.

"I didn't think he would beat me (in my last fight). I'm sure I won't let him beat me in a rematch," Fury said as quoted by Boxing Scene.

Tumbang against Usyk was a stain on Fury's first defeat in a brilliant career. Prior to that, he had 35 fights with a record of 34 wins and only one draw.

During that period, he was recorded to have won 24 times over his opponents, including an impressive knockout over United States fighter Deontay Wilder in their rematch in October 2021.

Fury said that in the second clash against Usyk he would be much more prepared. He also had plans to embarrass the Ukrainian hero like when he beat Wilder.

"I will do it as I did (in the second fight against Deontay Wilder in 2021). That's what I will do. I said I would beat (Wilder) and I did it," he said.

The defeat against Usyk left the battle between Fury and compatriot Anthony Joshua, who had long planned to suffer a setback.

Joshua then made things worse on September 21, 2024 after he lost by knockout in the fifth round against Daniel Dubois, who was the fourth defeat in his career.
