Hezbollah Launches North Israel's Metula Target Rocket

JAKARTA - Hezbollah said it had targeted Metula, in northern Israel, twice on Tuesday (1/10) the morning after Israel's previous military offensive to Lebanon.

As reported by CNN, Hezbollah said a group of soldiers in the Metula were targeted by artillery fire and rockets, saying they had succeeded in achieving their targets.

The attack was to support Palestinians in Gaza, and to defend Lebanon and its people.

The Israeli military said about five projectiles were identified as crossing from Lebanon. Several projectiles were intercepted and projectiles were identified in the area.

In a separate incident, the Israeli military said it had intercepted two projectiles passing from Lebanon.

Sirine also sounded in the Bar'am area, in northern Israel, and one projectile was identified as crossing from Lebanon and falling in an open area.
