Pagedangan Flyover Project Eats Casualties, One Worker Dies By Concrete

TANGERANG - A man with the initials I (37) was declared dead after being hospitalized due to a lack of work at the flyover project on Jalan Raya Cicalengka, Kadusirung Village, Pagedangan, Tangerang Regency, Sunday, September 29, at 14.28 WIB.

"The victim died allegedly in a work accident. The report was received on Tuesday, October 1, at 05.11 WIB," said Ade Ary in his statement, Tuesday, October 1.

Ade Ary explained that the incident began when the victim and his friends were working on the PT SJ flyover project, which was working on a flyover wall.

However, at that time the flyover road barrier collapsed and hit the victim's back.

"Working on the flyover wall, then the road barrier collapsed or collapsed. The victim was hit by a rock from the collapse of the road barrier (regarding) on the back of the victim's body," he said.

Fellow victims, EZ and F immediately helped the victim and rushed him to the Tangerang District Hospital. Unfortunately, the victim's life could not be saved or died on Monday, September 30, at 01.30 WIB.

"Monday 30 September 2024 at around 01.30 WIB. The hospital informed the victim's family that the victim had died," he said.

The victim's family made a police report for further action.

"The case is handled by the Pagedangan Provincial Secretary," he said.

Meanwhile, Pagedangan Police Chief AKP Daniel Dirgala said his party was investigating the case to ascertain whether there was an element of negligence at work.

"We are still deepening the information and facts on the ground. Yes, we are still clarifying the witnesses first to see," he concluded.
