Xiaomi 15 Pro Will Carry Telephoto Camera From Xiaomi 13 Ultra
JAKARTA - Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi 15 series next month, following Qualcomm's introduction of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The series will likely include the standard Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro models, which have appeared a lot in various leaks and rumors.
A recent leak of Weibo's tipster, "Experience More," reveals a major improvement in the Xiaomi 15 Pro telephoto camera. According to those tipsers, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will adopt the same Sony IMX858 telephoto sensor as the one used on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. This sensor offers a 120mm equivalent focal length and broadening without losing details up to 5x. In comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is equipped with a 75mm telephoto lens with an optical zoom capability of up to 3.2x.
The Sony IMX858 sensor to be used on the Xiaomi 15 Pro is a 50MP Quad Bayer sensor with a pixel size of 0.7 liters and an optical format of 1/2.51 inches. In addition to a 5x telephoto camera, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will also have a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/2.5, as well as a 50MP ultrawide lens.

Based on previous reports, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will come with a punch-hole screen in the middle, 2K resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will also be wrapped in a metal frame, with rumors of a more premium titanium special edition. The device is estimated to have a thickness of 8.5mm and a weight of about 220 grams.
In addition, both Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro Titanium Edition have passed 3C certification, expressing support for 90W fast charging with cables.
The security features on this phone will be handled by an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Other features include full-functional NFC, infrared long-range control, double speakers, and dust and water resistance with IP68 certification.
With promising specifications, Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to be one of the competitive flagship devices in the premium smartphone market this year II.
