All New Features Coming To The Apple Mail App On IOS 18
JAKARTA - Apple revealed a major update on the Mail app on iOS 18 last June. This update includes new designs, upgrades via Apple Intelligence, as well as various fixes for user convenience. Although most of the non-AI features are not yet present on iOS 18.0 or 18.1, Apple confirmed that all of these features will come "at the end of this year," possibly in the iOS 18.2 update.
Category
On iOS 18, the Mail app will automatically categorize email by type of conversation. Urgent personal emails and emails will go to the Main (Primary) category, while other emails such as transactions, updates, and promotions will be categorized separately.
Ringkasan View
This new feature will group email by sender. For example, email from a business will be organized so that it is easy to find important details without having to bother using the search feature.
Unreadable Email Highlights
Unreadable emails will be prioritized at the top, while emails that have been read will be placed below.
Smart Reply
Supported by Apple Intelligence, the Smart Reply feature allows users to respond quickly to emails using the advice provided by AI. The system will generate responses relevant to email content, and request additional input if needed.

Writing Tool
This tool will help users in writing email that is more friendly, professional, or concise. In addition, users can also ask AI to create important points, check spelling, or even rewrite the entire email.
Email summary
With this update, users can get quick summarys of each email directly on the display list, so there is no need to open every full email.
Priority Messages
Urgent emails, such as event invitations or flight notifications, will be prioritized and placed at the top of the inbox.
Overall, although many non-AI features are not yet available, AI features like Smart Reply and writing tools can already be tested on iOS 18.1 beta. All new features are expected to be released on iOS 18.2 later this year
