Securing 15 Junior High School Students Who Want To War In Sarong, Banjarmasin Police Confiscate Celurit

BANJARMASIN - Police officers arrested 15 teenagers who were known to be planning to carry out a sarong war at several points in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan.

Head of Public Relations of the Banjarmasin Police, Ipda Sunarmo, said officers from the Central Banjarmasin Police, Banjarmasin Police, South Kalimantan Police came to the location based on information from the public who found that teenagers were busy gathering.

"During the search, two sharp sickle-type weapons were found in a teenager's bag and three sarongs including one sarong had been neatly rolled up like a rope," he said in Banjarmasin, Antara, Monday, September 30.

Sunarmo said from the report, police personnel immediately moved quickly to the location on Jalan Sutoyo S Pondok Indah Complex, Teluk Dalam Village, Central Banjarmasin District, on Saturday (28/9) Night.

"When asked by officers, the teenagers admitted that they wanted to do a sarong war," added the Head of Public Relations.

All of these teenagers are still in junior high school and one of them dropped out of school. A total of 15 teenagers were taken to the Central Banjarmasin Police for examination, data collection and guidance and called by their parents.

"To parents, we ask that they supervise their children and do not happen again like this, if it is still repeated, firm action will be taken to provide a deterrent effect," concluded the Head of Public Relations.
