The Attorney General's Office Calls Only This Is The Basis For Examining Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa In The Tin Corruption Case

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) said it could examine the Director of Drug Crimes, Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa, as a witness in the trial of the alleged corruption case in the management of tin commodity trading in the mining business permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk for the 2015 to 2022 period. Provided, there is an order from the panel of judges.

The Head of the Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar, said that the order of the panel of judges was the only basis for examining Mukti Juharsa because the name of the National Police general was not in the public prosecutor's file.

"The person concerned does not exist as a witness in the case file, so, because the person concerned is not in the case file, the prosecutor does not have the authority to summon the person concerned. Except because the procedural law also regulates, the judge orders," Harli told reporters, Monday, September 30.

So, for now, his party can only monitor the progress of the persidanga process. If new facts appear, of course, it will be explored further.

"All of these investigators work to explore, the name of the investigator must be that every information is investigated," said Harli.

The name Mukti Juharsa was originally presented in the trial with the defendant Harvey Moeis.

Mukti Juharsa is said to have played a role in a series of cases of alleged corruption in the management of tin commodity trading in the mining business permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk for the 2015 to 2022 period.

In addition to being an admin for the WhatsApp group 'new smelter', Mukti Juharsa, who at that time was still in the rank of Kombes, was also referred to as saying that the private smelter deposit agreement to PT Timah Tbk was 5 percent of the tin ore export quota.

This was revealed based on the statement of the former general manager (GM) of PT Timah Tbk Province, Bangka Belitung Islands, Ahmad Syahmadi, who was presented as a witness.

"What is the announcement, sir?" asked the prosecutor.

"The point is PT Timah's aspirations are 50 percent, the forum agreed to 5 percent," replied Syahmadi.

Then, the prosecutor tried to find out who made the announcement in the WhatsApp group. At that time, Syahmadi said Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa conveyed it.

"Who said that in the WA group?" asked the prosecutor.

"Pak Dirreskrimsus," replied Syahmadi.
