Mazda EZ-6, Who Will Enter Indonesia, Is Now Starting To Be Sold In China, An Estimated Price

JAKARTA - One of the electrification vehicles introduced last April, Mazda EZ-6 is confirmed to be entering the production phase for several markets. In China, interested customers can already order the car.

Launching from CarNewsChina, Monday, September 30, the car is estimated to have a price of 160,000 to 200,000 yuan (or equivalent to IDR 344.7 million to IDR 430.9 million). EZ-6 will be available in four variants for Extended Range (EREV) and three types for fully EVs.

Unfortunately, the complete information regarding the replacement for Mazda6 is still unknown. It is hoped that further technical specifications, prices, and variants will be announced in the near future ahead of its launch.

This sedan-style car is an electrification line exhibited at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Beijing Auto Show) 2024.

Mazda EZ-6 is quite large with a length of 4,921 mm, a width of 1,890 mm, and a height of 1,485 mm. The car is equipped with a 19-inch rim wrapped in 245/45R tires.

The sedan carries the company's distinctive design language, namely the Kodo Soul of Motion, combined with the philosophy of satisfaction in driving instilled by Mazda from a long time ago, Jinba-ittai.

Offered with a five-seater configuration, users can be spoiled with a leading safety and comfort system, including advanced ADAS and accident mitigation technology.

In addition, Mazda EZ-6 has a smart system that can be controlled by sound, even when the driver is outside the vehicle. In addition, smart cabin technology is also presented which is operated in a number of ways, including voice control, touch and movement.

This model offers two versions, namely Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV). For BEV, this sedan offers a distance of up to 600 km and PHEV can go as far as 1,000 km from the merger of batteries with fuel.

PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI), as the agent holding the Mazda brand in the country, also gave a signal that the EZ-6 would be brought to Indonesia. However, they do not want to provide certainty of the time.

Not only that, the car created by the joint venture Changan-Mazda will arrive at the European market starting this fall after signing an electric vehicle export cooperation agreement with the joint venture and will become an exclusive new energy R&D in China and production base facing the global market.
