BMKG ISSUEs Early Warning Of Extreme Weather In North Sulawesi Until September 30

SULUT - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the North Sulawesi (Sulut) region has the potential for extreme weather for the next few days.

"BMKG issued an early warning of extreme weather until September 30, 2024," said BMKG Coordinator for Observation and Information at the Sam Ratulangi Manado Meteorological Station, Ben A Molle in Manado, Saturday, September 28, as reported by Antara.

Ben hopes that residents will be careful in carrying out activities during extreme weather conditions because of the potential for floods and landslides and even fallen trees.

Residents living in disaster-prone areas such as riverbank areas, slopes or steep places are careful.

"BMKG hopes that residents will be aware of moderate to heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds," he said.

On Sunday, September 29, 2024, BMKG estimates the potential for extreme weather in the areas of Tomohon City, Minahasa Regency and South Minahasa Regency.

Next, there is also the opportunity to hit the archipelago, Sitaro Islands Regency, Sangihe Islands Regency and Talaud Islands Regency.

Furthermore, on September 30, 2024, it has the potential to occur in the City of Manado, Minahasa Regency, North Minahasa Regency, Bolaang Mongondow Regency, Sitaro Islands Regency, Sangihe Islands Regency and Talaud Islands Regency.
