IKNOW Has Downloaded 42 Thousand Users, Guarantee Personal Data Security

JAKARTA - The capital city of Nusantara (IKN) has opened the door for public visitors through registration via the SuperApps IKN application, known as IKNOW. In the first week, the application under the direct supervision of the Deputy for Green Transformation and Digital Authority of IKN (OIKN), Prof. Mohammed Ali Berawi, noted extraordinary achievements.

"So far, the total download of the IKNOW application has reached more than 42 thousand users, with details of 33.8 thousand on Android and 8.2 thousand on IoS. This figure shows great enthusiasm from the public to participate in direct experiences in the archipelago," said Prof. Ali Berawi in his statement, Saturday, September 28.

Of this number, OIKN has managed to monitor around 11,000 physical visitors over the past week. We continue to consolidate specific data and update cross-deputyly, because visitors not only come from the general public, but also ministries, institutions, as well as other government agencies and the private sector," added Prof. Ali Berawi.

Cyber Data And Security Protection In IKNOW Application

In addition to the technical achievement and public enthusiasm, Prof. Ali Berawi emphasized the importance of protecting IKNOW users' personal data as well as cyber security. "We have implemented IT Security Assessment (ITSA) with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) on OIKN digital assets, one of which is IKNOW. This is done as an effort to find out how strong cybersecurity is in every digital asset as well as to find out things that still need to be improved and refined, including regarding the personal data of the public who register in the IKNOW application," said Prof. Ali Berawi.

OIKN has also implemented biometric security on any user identity access for the IKNOW application.

"We really care about the security of users' personal data. In addition, data coverage is carried out every day to minimize the bad effects in the event of unwanted incidents," he said.

When asked about the high enthusiasm for public interest in visiting, Prof. Ali Berawi said that, "The order continues to be busy and smooth, although of course there will be congestion at certain times."

However, he explained that the evaluation of the possibility of increasing the visitor quota is still ongoing.

"We are still conducting further evaluations. This is important so that the experience felt by visitors remains optimal and the process of developing projects in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) continues smoothly and on target," he said.

He also emphasized that although this is just the first step, the spirit to continue to improve and develop applications and visit systems at IKN remains on. "We want to make sure that the archipelago is not just a physical capital, but also a smart, green, digital, and digitally friendly capital city in the future."

"The evaluation carried out by OIKN will be the basis for strengthening existing infrastructure and services. We will continue to evaluate and collaborate with related parties to create a better experience for all visitors. The archipelago belongs to everyone, and we want everyone to feel that pride," concluded Prof. Ali Berawi.

With the success of this first week, the IKNOW application has proven its ability as the main gateway to the new capital city of the archipelago. Not only serving the technical needs of visitors, but also being a symbol of the progress of digital transformation initiated by OIKN.
