After The 2024 Mandalika MotoGP Sprint Race, Bagnaia Cuts Distance With Martin In The Standings
JAKARTA - The Mandalika 2024 MotoGP Sprint Race at the Pertamina Enduro Mandalika International Circuit on Saturday, September 28, 2024, gave birth to many dramas.
Jorge Martin, who won pole position in the Qualification session, fell on lap 1. He also ended the Sprint Race in 10th position and had to settle for without points.
Francesco Bagnaia came out as the Sprint Race champion, followed by Enea Bastianini and Marc Marquez in the top three. All three are entitled to points 12, 9, and 7.
Especially for Bagnaia, the additional points mean a lot to get the distance from Jorge Martin in the drivers' standings.

Now, the driver who is familiarly called Pecco is only 12 points away from Martin who is in first place in the drivers' standings.
Before the Mandalika 2024 MotoGP Sprint Race, Bagnaia was 24 points away from Jorge Martin.
This means that the Ducati Lenovo racer has a chance to overtake Martin in the standings if he manages to become the winner and Pramac Ducati Racing rider without points.
No wonder, the main MotoGP 2024 race is predicted to go hot.
There are only five series left after the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP. The five series are MotoGP Japan (Motegi), Australia (Phillip Island), Thailand (Buriram), Malaysia (Sepang), and closed Spain (Valencia).
