US Reminds Of Consequences That Destroy If Israel-Hezbollah A Massive War

JAKARTA - United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin warned of the devastating consequences if Israel was involved in a massive war with Hezbollah.

The war between Lebanon, Hezbollah and Israel will have a bad impact on Lebanon and Israel. And once again, we anticipate that we will see a number of people displaced, the number of victims who, you know, are the same or exceed what we see in Gaza," Austin told Wolf Blitzer from CNN.

The Defense Minister reiterated the US' desire to obtain a diplomatic solution,' also said the possibility of a ground attack by Israeli forces on Lebanon risks escalating the situation into a regional conflict.

The US and some prominent allies believe they have reached a 21-day battle gap that will give time for diplomacy and can prevent the outbreak of a major war between Israel and Hezbollah.

But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said reports of an imminent deal were "not true" and promised to continue attacking Iran-backed militant groups with full force.

Netanyahu spoke at the UN General Assembly on Friday, September 27 morning, where he vowed to continue Israel's military efforts and warned there was no place in Iran that Israel could not reach.
