Pramono Affirms Can't Be Controlled 9 Dragons: My Dragon Is One, The People

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor number 3 Pramono Anung emphasized that he would not be controlled by certain groups if he was elected governor of DKI Jakarta along with his deputy, Rano Karno.

Pramono emphasized that the big group of businessmen who rule the Indonesian economy or "9 Dragons" could not even influence their policies if they led Jakarta.

"If the trust is given to me, I will work seriously and cannot be influenced by those above, called 9, 10, 11, 20 dragons," Pramono said when meeting residents in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Friday, September 27.

The former Cabinet Secretary admitted that the only people who could control it were the people of Jakarta. Given that residents are the holders of the right to vote in the 2024 Pilkada. Therefore, Pramono feels responsible for the people's trust if he wins the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"My country is the people, that's all. Because they are the ones who gave me the mandate, gave me the mandate, and we will really do it," said Pramono.

On the one hand, Pramono claims that he does not have any political burden to be able to participate in the 2024 Pilkada contestation. He did not have the ambition to become a regional head from the start. However, his steps to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election are a mandate given by the Chairperson of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"Honestly, I actually want to retire, want to rest. It's time to want grandchildren. But I was mandated as a candidate for governor for that, I worked hard if I was supported by panjenengan Sedoyo, I was sure, God willing, I will be the Governor of Jakarta," said Pramono.

Pramono revealed a number of policies that he would run if he won the Jakarta Pilkada. One of them is to allow citizens who graduated from elementary school to become public infrastructure and facilities handling officers (PPSU).

"The condition is that elementary school is enough. Why do you have to arrive at SLTA? Second, what does it do every year evaluate? Every three years or five years, it's okay too. The important thing is that people work," explained Pramono.

In addition, Pramono also discussed building people's halls for each kelurahan, increasing the operational funds for RT-RW and dasawisma and jumantik cadres to double, to running labor-intensive in each residential area.
