Analyst: Apple Latest Vision Pro Will Use M5 Chip

JAKARTA Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple's quite famous analyst, said that the latest generation Vision Pro will use the M5 chip. This news was shared by Kuo on Friday, September 27 through the Medium platform.

Kuo explained that the latest selling value of Vision Pro will be the same as other Apple devices that were recently released, namely the use of Apple Intelligence. This spatial computer technology will be equipped with various advanced features based on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

"The main hardware change is the increase in processors to M5 (currently M2) to significantly increase computing power and ensure the best experience for Apple Intelligence users," Kuo said, quoted from his report.

Vision Pro with the M5 chip will be mass produced starting in the second half next year. According to Kuo, the specifications and designs of this second generation will not experience much change as Apple is still trying to lower device prices.

With the Apple Intelligence on the M5, this device is expected to bring improvements in the user experience. However, it would be even better if this device was integrated with AI audio such as OpenAI's Sora, according to Kuo.

In terms of supply chains, Vision Pro with the M5 chip will be produced in the same amount as the previous generation. This is considered to be possible thanks to Zhaowei, the new Apple supplier, for bringing a more positive view to investors.

"A new Apple suppliers like Zhaowei are likely to attract more attention to investors. Not affected by existing product sales, the new supplier may be in a better position to reflect the positive trend in Vision Pro," Kuo explained.
