Pretending To Have A Bentung Leg, Beggars From Surabaya Caught By The Jakarta Social Service

JAKARTA - A beggar who pretends to have a dead foot was caught by the DKI Jakarta Social Service. This happened when the East Jakarta City Administration Social Service Task Force conducted regional monitoring on Sunday, September 22.

At around 21.00 WIB, officers found a beggar in front of the restaurant. We hope for mercy, the beggar admitted that he could not walk normally because his feet were stuck.

However, the officers did not immediately believe it. After being examined, it turned out that the dead legs were just a mode. His legs were folded in the pants that were used in layers.

"After learning about this, the officer immediately asked the beggar to show his leg and it was true that his leg was healthy, not dead," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Social Service, Premi Lasari, to reporters, Friday, September 27.

When asked for information, the beggar deliberately showed that he did not have a complete leg. This mode is an example of a similar beggar through a video broadcast on Youtube.

Thus, the officers brought the beggars for basic guidance at the Bina Insan Social Institution (PSBI) Bangun Daya 2 Cipayung, East Jakarta.

Currently, a beggar known as Bowo Santoso (43) from Surabaya has been referred to the Bangun Daya 2 Social Institution (PSBI) Cipayung, East Jakarta to be given further social services and guidance.

"This is in accordance with Governor Regulation Number 169 of 2014 concerning PMKS Handling Patterns," said Premi.

Furthermore, Premi revealed that the P3S Task Force for the Social Service and Sub-Department of the Regional Social Service 5 routinely monitors the area and also prohibits PPKS in Jakarta.

Registered from January to August 2024, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service has reached 4,521 PPKS.

"The most PPKS reached were 1,080 homeless people, 742 displaced people and 585 ODGJ," he added.
