Today, Minister Of Religion Yaqut's Last Chance To Explain About Hajj To The DPR
JAKARTA - Commission VIII of the DPR will hold a working meeting (Raker) with the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as a Hearing Meeting with the President Director of PT. Garuda Indonesia and the Head of the Implementing Agency for the Hajj Financial Management Agency at the Parliament Complex, Friday, September 27.
This working meeting is related to the evaluation of the Implementation of Hajj in 1445 H / 2024 AD.
Today's meeting is also the last opportunity for Minister of Religion Yaqut to explain the alleged violations in the implementation of the 2024 Hajj.
In addition to the evaluation, this Working Meeting also scheduled an event for the Financial Report on the Implementation of Hajj in 1445 H/2024 AD. As well as the actual issues related to the institutions present.
It is known that the Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas was absent from work meetings related to the evaluation of the implementation of the 2024 Hajj with Commission VIII of the DPR. Yaqut never even attended the invitation of the DPR's Hajj Question Committee to provide information about the alleged corruption of the 2024 Hajj quota to the DPR RI.
The commission in charge of religious affairs was forced to reschedule the meeting with Minister of Religion Yaqut because the last meeting was agreed not to be represented by other Ministry of Religion staff.
"This means that because this is a working meeting and an evaluation report on the implementation of the Hajj by the Minister of Religion. However, because the Minister of Religion is still on his way to carrying out state duties as well. So, based on the rules and regulations submitted by members and leaders, we will schedule the evaluation meeting for the implementation of this pilgrimage on the next occasion," said Chairman of Commission VIII DPR Ashabul Kahfi, Monday, September 23.
