Chronology Of Tia Rahmania's Dismissal From PDIP Leads To Her Position In The DPR Replaced By Triyana
JAKARTA - The General Elections Commission (KPU) has determined two replacements for elected candidates for DPR RI members for the 2024-2029 period from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).
One of those who were replaced was Tia Rahmania, a candidate for the PDIP legislative member from the Electoral Region (Dapil) Banten 1, who was dismissed from party membership.
This determination is contained in the Decree of the Indonesian KPU Number 1368 of 2024, which was signed by the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU, Mochamad Afifuddin, on September 23, 2024, and has been published through the official website kpu.go.id.
"Determining the Amendment to the Determination of elected candidates for members of the House of Representatives in the 2024 General Election against the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle for the Elections of Central Java V and Banten I," reads the Decree, as quoted by VOI, Friday, September 27.
In addition, the KPU also appointed Didik Haryadi, the PDIP candidate for the Central Java 4 electoral district with 74,750 votes, as a elected DPR member. Didik replaces Rahmad Handoyo, who was dismissed from party membership because he no longer meets the requirements to become a member of the DPR.
For the Banten 1 electoral district, the General Election Commission has appointedction Supervisory Commission Triyana as a elected member of the House of Representatives with 36,516 votes, replacing Tia Rahmania. Tia was dismissed because she no longer met the party membership requirements.
"Tia Rahmania no longer meets the requirements to become a member of the DPR because it was dismissed from party members," said the statement in the decree.
Tia Rahmania's dismissal was in the spotlight after she criticized the Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron at the National Values Establishment Forum for Members of the DPR for the 2024-2029 Period.
Tia conveyed this criticism when Ghufron provided material related to strengthening anti-corruption, which was broadcast via Lemhanas YouTube on Sunday, September 22.
Tia's dismissal is stated in the Decree of the PDIP DPP Number 1596/KPTS/DPP/IX/2024 which was signed by the General Chairperson of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, on September 13, 2024. As a result, Tia is no longer allowed to carry out any activity on behalf of PDIP.
Previously, Tia was involved in an internal party dispute withpan Triyana regarding the alleged inflating of votes in the Banten 1 electoral district.men reported Tia and several District Election Committees (PPK) to Bawaslu Banten. After Bawaslu gave a warning to members of the PPK, the case continued to the Party Court.
The Party Court, through a decision chaired by Yasonna H Laoly, stated that Tia was proven to have inflated 1,626 votes. After the correction, Tia's voice became 35,760, while the sound of her voice remained 36,504, making her the winner with a difference of 744 votes.
