Ministry Of Industry Supports Halal Industry Optimizing Opportunities Via Halal Indo 2024

The Ministry of Industry is holding the Halal Indonesia International Industry Expo (Halal Indo) located at the BSD Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), Tangerang, Banten.

Secretary-General of the Ministry of Industry Eko Cahyanto said, with the current number of world Muslims reaching 1.8 billion people and will continue to increase, consumption of halal industrial products in 2024 is predicted to reach 2.4 trillion US dollars.

Meanwhile, consumption of global halal products by Muslim consumers reached US$2.29 trillion and indicated a huge opportunity for the domestic halal industry.

"Besides opportunities, there must be challenges. Domestic halal industry players must be ready to compete directly with global halal producers who also take the opportunity to fill the halal market, both in the country and in exports," said Eko in Tangerang, Thursday, September 26.

At this exhibition, the Ministry of Industry provides support for the halal industry through the facilitation of booths for the industrial sector and halal industrial areas with a total of 202 booths, divided into eight groups, namely food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, textiles and accessories, halal industrial areas, fashion Muslims, and other uses.

Through Halal Indo, the Ministry of Industry also provides education and halal awareness, as well as facilitates interaction between industry players and the public.

"We are excited to raise halal issues through the Industrial Festival, which is aimed at the younger generation, communities and anyone who has a great interest in the development of the halal industry in Indonesia," explained Eko.

The Industrial Festival will feature various activities such as talk show halal, community engagement, media briefing, workshop and coaching clinic which are expected to inspire and motivate the public to be more active in supporting and developing the halal industry.

"We believe that through these activities, we can jointly increase public understanding and awareness about the importance of the halal industry. The Industrial Festival in Halal Indo is a very valuable opportunity for all of us to jointly advance the Indonesian halal industry," concluded Eko.
