Polda Metro Check Umar Kei Regarding Alleged Beating Of Stafsus Arsjad Rasjid

Polda Metro Jaya memeriksa Umar Kei sebagai terlapor dalam kasus dugaan pengeroyokan terhadap Arif Rahman selaku Staf Khusus (Stafsus) dari Ketua Umum Kamar Dagang dan Industri (Kadin) Indonesia periode 2021-2026.

It is known that Arif Rahman's alleged beating took place at the Kadin Tower on September 17.

"I was present today on the basis of an invitation letter to clarify from Polda friends, especially Resmob Unit 4 team," Umar Kei told reporters, Thursday, September 26.

Umar Kei conveyed that the reported beating never happened. According to him, no violence was committed against the staff of the Arsjad Rasjid.

"My hand never fell. If my hand fell, it would have been covered in blood. Even died, yes. But I never felt hit but he did," he said.

"As a good citizen, our country is a state of law, he reports me, yes I am obliged and today I am present in the context of a letter (invitation) clarifying from Polda friends," continued Umar Kei.

During the examination, Umar Kei, who was accompanied by his attorney, brought several pieces of evidence to strengthen rebuttal if there was never any beating.

"I brought a power of attorney and video as evidence. When the incident occurred, I was at the Kadin Building, not based on CCTV footage, but a video directly from my own device, coincidentally there were subordinates who participated in the recording," said Umar Kei.

Meanwhile, Arif Rahman's report regarding the alleged beating was registered with the number LP/B/5591/IX/2024/SPKT POLDA METRO JAYA.

In the report, it was stated that due to the beating, Arif Rahman suffered stab wounds to several parts of his body.
