28 Houses In South Lampung Affected By Tornado

LAMPUNG - The Fire and Rescue Service (Damkarmat) of South Lampung Regency recorded as many as 28 houses affected by the tornado in Tanjung Harapan Village, Merbau Mataram District, Wednesday, September 29 afternoon.

Head of the Fire Department of the South Lampung Damkarmat Service, Rully Fikriansyah, said that until now his party was still collecting data and helping residents repair houses damaged by the tornado.

"The tornado occurred on Wednesday (September 25) at around 17.30 WIB. The impact of the tornado was 28 houses in Tanjung Harapan Village, Merbau Mataram District, South Lampung, suffered minor to severe damage," he said in South Lampung, Thursday, September 26, confiscated by Antara.

He added that his party is also still collecting data or validating the houses of residents affected by the disaster and it is possible that the number of damaged houses will increase.

Although many houses were damaged by the tornado, his party confirmed that there were no casualties from the incident.

"Alhamdulillah, there were no casualties due to this tornado incident. Currently, we are still focusing on repairing the houses of the affected residents," he said.

Most of the damage to residents' houses and other buildings was on the roof because it was hit by a tornado.
