Nissan Remains Consistent On EV Routes But Nismo Has A Different Approach
JAKARTA - Nissan, one of the global automotive manufacturers, continues to strengthen its commitment to bringing in more electric vehicles (EVs), although the market is currently experiencing a decline in interest. The manufacturer based in Yokohama, Japan, emphasized its plans to fully produce EVs in Europe by 2030. However, its top performance division, Nismo, chose a slightly different direction.
Pierre Loing, Global Vice President of Product & Service Planning Nissan Motor, explained that Nismo did not set a target to completely switch to electric vehicles.
"Nismo has no specific target of only producing EVs," Loing said in an interview with Top Gear, Thursday, September 26.
Loing also stressed that although most Nissan vehicles in Europe will switch to powertrain, not all lines will fully become EVs.
"Regululation of Euro 7 emissions is indeed difficult, but that doesn't mean all vehicles will be fully electric," he added.

Nismo Arya: New Milestone In European Market
Currently, Nismo only has one EV model, namely Nissan Ariya Nismo, who is a serious competitor to Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and VW ID.4 GTX. This model marks Nismo's return to the European market in 2025.
Ariya Nismo is the result of the development of the Ariya e-4orsce, with special fine-tuning on Nismo's custom thrust and suspension, as well as various exterior design elements that make it look different from the standard version.
Nissan claims that Arya Nismo has superior handles and thinness thanks to the improvement of the suspension and steering system. This car is also equipped with sporty legs with 20 inches of rims and tires measuring 255/45R20, combined with an e-4ORCE four-wheel drive system specifically designed to improve performance.
For the European market, Ariya Nismo still uses dual electric motors such as the standard version, but with a significant increase in performance, produces 434 dk of power and a maximum torque of 600 Nm. The battery, with a capacity of 87 kWh, provides an impressive distance of up to 498 km in one charge.
With these specifications, Ariya Nismo is ready to hit the European market, providing attractive options for those who want high performance without sacrificing energy efficiency.
