Indra Sjafri Gets Important Evaluation Materials From Indonesia U-20's First Match
JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team managed to get three points in the inaugural match of Group F of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification against the U-20 Maldives.
Garuda Muda won convincingly with a score of 4-0 at the Madya Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
However, Indonesia's U-20 journey to victory was not easy. Dony Tri Pamungkas and colleagues failed to score in the first half despite dominating possession and opportunities.
Indra Sjafri also agreed with the problem of his foster children even though the game scheme went well in the first half.
"The first half, the problem of final settlement. However, what we have planned has gone well. The ball has flowed quickly," said Indra Sjafri after the match.

Realizing the problem, Indra admitted that there was a change in tactics in the second half. The way it resulted in four goals which led to three points.
"In the second half there was a change. We had a problem rotation. So, initially (first half) the first (backward) and second (medium) the game was fluid, but the third (front) line had a problem."
"In fact, our attack in the first half was a lot through the wings and then crossing into the middle. It's just that the reception of the crossing was not good so there were no goals."
"In the second half we tried several changes and produced four goals, should have more goals. Thank you to the players who gave the best today," said Indra Sjafri.
Furthermore, Indonesia U-20 will face Timor Leste U-20 in the second match of Group F of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification, Friday, September 27, 2024.
