PSSI Collaborates With KNVB To Develop Indonesian Football

PSSI is collaborating with the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) to accelerate Indonesia's football achievements.

Consistency in structured coaching at various age levels is the basis for PSSI in collaboration with KNVB.

"This is a continuation of the meeting in May 2024, namely PSSI and KNVB agreed to develop stronger relations between their respective associations for mutual gain, promotional development, and sustainable football success in each country."

"Indonesia will certainly learn a lot. I am happy because KNVB is ready to help and provide what we need," said PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in Jakarta.

PSSI is further optimistic that the cooperation with KNVB can make many talented Indonesian players grow rapidly.

"One of the points of this partnership is aimed at improving the quality and experience of the Indonesian national team in all age groups, both men and women."

"With the main focus on improving the quality of talented and young players, we are optimistic that many talented Indonesian players will continue to develop through this collaboration," said Erick Thohir again.

At the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU), KNVB was represented by Gijs de Jong as Secretary General, Michael van der Star (Head of International Program & WorldCoaches), and Ruud van der Sar (Head of Sales, New Partnership).

In addition to football development, the collaboration is also to promote football at various international levels.

PSSI and KNVB will routinely bring together national teams in friendly matches. In addition, the partnership is also for the education of Indonesian football coaches.
